Evaluations are ONLY available for individuals physically located in the following states at the time of the evaluation appointment: Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maine, New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.
Blue Tide Therapy offers adult dyslexia diagnostic evaluations from the comfort of your own home. We understand that the dyslexia evaluation process can be pricey. Our process is streamlined and available via telehealth at a more affordable rate of $600 total with payment plans available. Our providers understand the intricacies of dyslexia.
What to expect:
Appointments are typically available within 2 weeks. Many individuals end up on waiting lists at other practices.
Telehealth appointments are scheduled for 2 hours.
Evaluations are $600 total with $300 due at time of scheduling and the remaining due at time of service. (Please ask about payment plans if needed)
The evaluation consists of self-report measures, clinical interviews, and direct assessments. Evaluations are tailored to each individual client since not all assessments are appropriate for everyone.
You will know our diagnostic impressions at the end of the scheduled appointment time and can discuss next steps.
A complete diagnostic report will be available approximately 2-weeks following the evaluation.

Prior to the evaluation appointment, screenings such as the Shaywitz Dyslexia Screen and Tests of Dyslexia (TOD) self report forms are sent to the individual to be completed before the diagnostic session. During the evaluation appointment, a speech screening, and the Tests of Dyslexia (TOD) are completed. Intake information, assessments completed prior to the appointment, and the direct assessments are scored and analyzed, and a diagnosis is made if appropriate.

The diagnostic report includes results from the assessments including descriptions of the scores and findings, and suggested academic and employment accommodations.

Yes! Our providers are experienced and qualified speech-language pathologists and can diagnose various speech, language and communication disorders. Sometimes this evaluation is sufficient for other diagnoses (speech and language), however, additional testing may be necessary in certain situations.
